Our "Borrow-a-Boat" Program is weather- and permission-dependent. Scheduled boat borrowings are subject to termination based on inclement weather and/or failure to follow the Junior Code of Conduct and VYC's own rules of conduct.
Q. What is your "Borrow-a-Boat" Program and how do I use it?
A. Our "Borrow-a-Boat" Program was developed to give youth sailors the opportunity to utilize our vessels in their own free time outside of Junior classes and clinics. This allows students to enjoy everything from a little extra practice before a race to a "sunset sail"! Juniors may take advantage of the program by scheduling a date and time with VYC's Waterfront Activities Manager, Braedon Baum. This opportunity may only be utilized during VYC's business hours.
Q. My child is a Junior Member, can they bring a friend when they use this program?
A. Of course; the more, the merrier! Per our By-Laws, Guests of a Member must be accompanied by the Member.
